Tips and secrets for The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone
• No official cheat codes exist on consoles; on PC you can enable the debug console via well-known mods (e.g., 'Debug Console Enabler' on Nexus Mods) and use commands like addmoney(1000) or staddler(30) to gain gold or levels.
• Handy console command: additem('gwint card vereena') to get the expansion-exclusive Gwent card.
• To start the expansion, take the 'Evil's Soft First Touches' contract notice (the OFIER sign / hanging man poster) in Seveno. Chars Devils in the city — the quest board in Seveno posts 'Hanging a Tree'; recommended level is 30.
• To beat Olgierd in the duel, rely on dodging: he flashes with a bright glow just before each strike, so dodge at that exact moment.
• In the final confrontation with Gaunter O'Dimm, shout his name toward the moon's reflection while he is distracted; attacking him directly fails the encounter (Olgierd loses his soul).
• Use specter oil and the Yrden sign against the ethereal enemies in the Von Everec mansion.
• The Viper armor diagrams are found during the expansion's treasure hunts in the Brunwich area — buy any missing diagrams from novigrad armorers if needed.
• Make a manual save before the story's final decision, as it permanently affects Olgierd's fate.
