Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (GameCube) unlockables and tips
• Hard Mode: finish the game on normal difficulty to unlock Hard Mode, where enemies deal triple damage and Energy Tanks restore less energy.
• Image gallery: completing the game for the first time unlocks a gallery of concept artwork.
• Bonus gallery: with a completed Metroid Prime save file (100% items) on the same memory card, additional content such as the Fusion Suit is unlocked.
• Early Space Jump: expert players use a wall-jump route in the Sanctuary Fortress to grab the upgrade earlier than intended; it requires solid wall-jump technique.
• Restore energy with Dark Energy Tanks: some Dark Aether areas hide extra energy tanks; revisit them after obtaining the Light Suit to boost survival.
• Beat the dark haze with the Light Suit: staying in light prevents the gradual environmental damage in Dark Aether; memorize light pod locations before exploring.
• Beam ammo drops: dark enemies drop ammo matching their affinity (dark/light); farm enemies in Dark Aether to restock dark ammo.
• Scan everything: completing the game's scan log grants extra story lore and unlocks gallery content upon finishing the game.
