Final Fantasy IV (1991) - Cheats & Secrets
• Level-up spot in Mysidia: once you become a Paladin as Cecil, return to Mysidia; enemies there flee from you and give great EXP, making it a classic grinding spot before the final dungeons.
• Fat Chocobo storage: use the Chocobo forests scattered across the world map to store items for free with the Fat Chocobo, freeing up inventory space.
• Hidden summons: make sure to collect every summon (like Indj and others) at key story points, as some cannot be obtained later.
• Kain pro tip: keep Kain using Jump; it lets him dodge attacks and doubles his damage on landing, excellent against bosses with heavy area attacks.
• The Lower Babylon Cave is a good training area with quick encounters before the endgame.
• Save often in every new area and save Ethers for the Fiend bosses, the toughest fights in the game.
• PSP and later remakes include extra content after the main story, with new bosses and exclusive equipment.
• Pro tip: use the Fight command efficiently; one well-equipped weapon is usually better than relying on two-handed setups early on.
