Overview
All the challenging ground-pounding, barrel-blasting, side-scrolling mine cart action from the Donkey Kong Country series is back along with a bushel of new game-play elements and features. And now, there are four playable characters! Dixie Kong is back to join the adventure as a playable character alongside Diddy Kong, and for the first time in Donkey Kong Country, bearded old hero Cranky Kong joins the adventure with his bouncy cane. Any of the three can buddy up with Donkey Kong, and each character offers a different gameplay experience. On their journey to reclaim Donkey Kong Island, Donkey Kong and his friends travel across five islands with a variety of stages that include underwater areas and frozen environments.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze - Cheats and Unlockables
• Funky Mode (Switch): the game includes 'Funky Mode', with Funky Kong as a playable character, making the game easier thanks to his hover jump.
• Hard Mode: complete every stage in the game (excluding secret and bonus levels) to unlock Hard Mode, where you only have one heart and cannot use items.
• Secret exits: several levels contain secret exits marked with a silhouette on the world map; finding them unlocks additional levels.
• Cranky Kong: use Cranky's cane to bounce on spikes and dangerous enemies that would hurt the other characters.
• DK Barrels: barrels with DK's face break cracked floors and walls; slam in mid-air to reveal hidden routes and collectibles.
• Bridge coins: gather bridge coins in bonus stages to rebuild the final bridge and reach the battle against Lord Fredrik on the secret island.
• K-O-N-G: collect the K, O, N and G letters in each level to earn trophies; not required to finish, but essential for 100% completion.
