Overview
In Castlevania X: Rondo of Blood, the player takes control of Richter, the ultimate Vampire Killer, guiding him through a total of nine stages filled with treacherous traps and hidden secrets. Using your legendary whip – passed on from generations of Belmonts – and a powerful selection of Item Crash attacks, it's up to you to destroy Dracula and his evil horde. What's more, rescuing Maria at some juncture in the game allows you to use her as a playable character for even more vampire-slaying fun.

Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (1993) - Cheats and Secrets
• Rescue Maria via the alternate route in Stage 3 to unlock her as a playable character: she has double jumps and animal attacks.
• Completing the game unlocks Richter Belmont as a playable character, stronger but less mobile than Annette.
• Alternate stages (marked with ') are accessed through secret paths, such as Stage 2' or Stage 5'; exploring different exits changes the route.
• In Stage 4', enter the clock at the right moment to access a secret early battle against Death.
• Red crystals upgrade the Vampire Killer whip; find them in hidden areas by breaking suspicious walls and floors.
• Rescuing all four women (Annette, Maria, Iris and Tera) before the final boss changes the outcome and gives a better ending.
• The game uses a password system: write down the password shown when you die to continue with your progress, items and unlocked routes.
